Gratitude Meditation
Aug 23 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

DESCRIPTION

Gratitude is much more than a word or gesture of thanks. It is a powerful mindset that can transform our relationships with everything and everyone around us.

Gratitude as a meditation technique is the element that unites the practices of non-harm with generosity. When we refrain from harm we cultivate kindness; when we practice generosity we give and receive freely. Gratitude is not possible without kindness (toward ourselves and others) nor without generosity (understanding the role of receiving).

These classes combine mantra and visualization techniques to help develop a baseline comfort with feeling and expressing gratitude. In time, they show us how to live with greater compassion, appreciation and joy.

*Important: This event is only open to Full, Plus & Supporting Members of the Mayu Meditation Cooperative.

Aug 24 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

This evening is an opportunity to extend yourself and extend your practice with a 1-hour, 2-hour or 3-hour silent sit. This is an unguided silent meditation recommended for experienced practitioners.
