Transform Your Difficult Emotions NOW
Sep 2 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

DESCRIPTION

Enlightenment Can Come Later. Transform Your Difficult Emotions NOW

We’re confused … “Spiritual Enlightenment” can wait. The missing link is EMOTIONS. It’s about learning to handle & process your self-defeating and destructive emotions so you can navigate life in clear, centered clarity.

I’m Becca Williams and recently joined Mayu Sanctuary with its remarkable mission for inner exploration. In this Mayu gathering, we’ll continue to experience the revolutionary “Emotional Liberation” approach so that you can learn to release self-limiting patterns of fear & anxiety, depression, self-doubt, anger, sadness, shame, overwhelm, boredom, unworthiness.

These transformative journeys in emotional self-healing embrace specific kundalini practices, which are strikingly different from the quiet sitting of mindfulness practices.

We’ll begin our time together getting settled – a brief group conversation and instructions on our practice with a break before starting the session. We then embark upon an exceptional exploratory session of renewal.

I will guide us through active and often vigorous Eastern body and breath movements that will ground our intentions and connect us energetically. With specially selected music, we’ll align breath, movement and sound to activate our energy body inner that is the portal to deep transformative physical and emotional healing. These approaches will reconnect you with yourself at the deepest and most intimate level and give you fresh INNER perspective to serve as a compass for your life.

The experience will last about 75 to 90-minutes and, time permitting, we’ll follow with integration time. You’ll want to wear comfortable clothes in layers, bring a water bottle and journal to take notes after your experience. Mayu has sitting cushions but I invite you to also bring any other gear you’d like for greater comfort.

This event may be a good fit for you if …

• You’re a mindfulness meditator and are curious how ancient, active kundalini practices can support your emotional wellbeing.

• You haven’t been a regular meditator because the quiet sitting practices have not come easy for you.

• You want to enliven your talk therapy sessions with new emotional “gold” that surfaces during Emotional Liberation experiences.

• You want to strengthen and condition your nervous system to optimize the release and reset of your physical and emotional constitution.

Becca’s Bio

As an “Emotional Liberation” teacher and ceremonialist, Becca guides participants through active powerful meditation practices from the ancient kundalini meditation tradition. These Emotional Liberation approaches engage energy channels to rewire patterns in your brain and reorganize your nervous system to open the door to deeper awareness for emotional healing and wellbeing. Becca is trained as a clinical nutritionist and has been a group facilitator, speaker and mentor for personal and collective transformation for more than two decades. She believes communal gatherings such as these help to deepen our experiences of life and add richness and meaning, something that is so desperately needed in our modern distracted lives.

FREE Intro to Lu Jong: Tibetan Healing Yoga
Sep 8 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

DESCRIPTION

The Lu Jong practice is a series of body movements that developed more than 8000 years ago in Tibet. Lu Jong originates in the Buddhist Tantrayana and Bön traditions, and is based in Tibetan Medicine. Through the combination of position, movement and breath, Lu Jong opens the channels in the body and mobilizes misdirected energy. In this way, the practice of Lu Jong helps to cultivate balance on the physical, mental and energetic levels.

On the physical level, the movements support the healing processes and also effectively combat disease. On a mental level, Lu Jong helps us overcome negative emotions like anger and craving in order to achieve emotional balance and increase our energy. On an energetic level, Lu Jong releases blockages and opens the subtle body channels. Reestablishing the proper flow of energy has profound consequences for the health of both body and mind. And when we open our channels, we open our hearts.

This form of Lu Jong originates in the lineage of Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche, who introduced the practice of Lu Jong to the West. Prior to this, he received many years of teachings from masters of different Tibetan Buddhist schools. The result is an extensive program of physical movements, which bring our bodies and minds into balance. The practice of Lu Jong is suitable for all ages and physical abilities. In this Introduction to Lu Jong class, the first five of the twenty-one movements in the Lu Jong 1 sequence will be presented.

These movements, the Five Elements Movements are the core movements to opening energetic channels in the body and purifying the elements of earth, water, fire, wind, and space in the body. In Tibetan medicine, deluded elements are associated with negative emotions. Purifying the elements bring positive emotions. Open the channels in the body allows the wind element to flow more freely, bringing clarity of thought and a healthy body as vital essence is carried more easily. In addition to the Five Elements practice, a brief background in Tantrayana Buddhism and Tibetan medicine will also be presented for context. Additional movements for breath and meditation positions with the Five Elements will also be taught. A DVD of the Five Elements movements and a handout of the movements is available for purchase after class.
