Learning the stress-reducing skills of mindfulness mediation is simple, but not easy. It takes dedicated practice to form new habits. The good news is that the brain can be trained to greater awareness of what is happening in the present moment, rather than being relentlessly trapped in worrying about the future or obsessing about the past.

Many people who have worked with mindfulness apps or have taken short-term classes remark upon the difference in their learning after having taken MBSR. The key is the proven formula of eight weeks of dedicated practice, with expert instruction from highly-trained MBSR teachers, in the company of others who are committed to exploring and building their inner capabilities for greater well-being, increased attention, and more peaceful presence in their lives. The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course is the acknowledged leader in the field of modern mindfulness training because of its long-standing, ongoing scientific foundation and its rigorous certification standards for its teachers.

Almost forty years of scientific research has shown that those who have completed the MBSR course report:

• Less stress and anxiety

• Improved attention and cognition

• Better sleep

• Less self-judgment

• Greater overall health and well-being

MBSR studies reveal the potency of mindfulness to reduce medical symptoms and psychological stress while enhancing the health and well-being of participants.
