Incense as Mindfulness Practice

Like tea ceremony and flower arrangement, Koh-do, or “incense ceremony,” is an ancient and revered tradition from Japan. Mon-koh or “listening to incense” guides us to appreciate unique and often subtle fragrances, making incense appreciation a true mindfulness practice.

Join representatives of esteemed Shoyeido Incense, as they share the rich history of Japanese incense, and present their various lines of fragrances. You will learn how the rarest ingredients are harvested, how to train your sense of smell, different incense burning methods, and why incorporating incense into your meditation practice is so powerful.
