Private Therapeutic Yoga is a relaxed and customizable practice that combines yoga postures, meditation, breathing exercises and guided imagery to improve mental and physical health. Props are utilized to provide the body with support and comfort. The student is encouraged to relax deeply into each posture using as little physical effort as possible. The mind focuses on the breath in order to cultivate mindfulness and release tension from the body.
Meditative yoga styles, such as Yin and Restorative, stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which slows the heart rate, regulates blood pressure and relaxes the body. As such, meditative yoga is considered particularly beneficial for those suffering from depression, anxiety and insomnia, as well as other stress-related conditions. Meditative yoga is also believed to boost the immune system and accelerate the body’s natural healing process.
Private sessions can be customized, based on the student’s needs and abilities, to release stagnant emotions and to relieve pain and tension from different areas of the body.
$70 for one hour or $168 for a 3-pack of one-hour sessions (redeemable for up to one year from the date of purchase)
